The Yellow Ribbon Run originated in Singapore and the Czech Republic was the first European country to adopt the concept in 2016. Just as Singapore inspired us, we now inspire other countries in Europe.

Bilateral cooperation with Norway
In 2023 The initiative Yellow Ribbon Growing European is established in the Czech Republic, which now serves as an inspiration and coordination center for other European states. Ours Activities can be implemented thanks to support from Norwegian funds and cooperation with the Norwegian Prison Service.
7 European countries are already involved. Will you join?
We have come a long way. In 2016, we were the only European country to run. In 2024, Croatia and Lithuania joined us, and this year, also Norway and Poland will join. Furthermore, Latvia and Romania will join.
We organize a round table with representatives of the criminal justice system in European countries
In cooperation with the Norwegian Military Service (DNCS), we succeeded in the year 2025 already the second round tableA meeting of the judicial representatives of the European countries.
As part of this meeting called Yellow Ribbon Growing Strategically Together was presented a new European visual identity for the project and shared the first experience of pilot runs in Croatia and Lithuania. Participants also focused on further strategic steps and systemic reasons for enlightenment in their countries.

Benefits of international cooperation
Each country involved brings its unique experiences, thanks to which it manages to overcome prejudice more effectively and open up new opportunities for people with criminal backgrounds.
So far, we have engaged organizations POCKET, EUroprice, ICPA.
At a workshop in Singapore, we were inspired Canada, Texas, Rwanda.
